We are thrilled to welcome Avery Sheldon as our new, part-time Fund Development & Communications Coordinator. 🙌

#FunFact - Dr. Adam Vyse delivered Avery right here at the High River Hospital! She is a homegrown and proud Nantonite. With a passion for science, Avery graduated from the University of Calgary with a First Class Honours Degree in Cellular, Molecular and Microbial Biology.
Avery’s work experience has been related to medical research, and then she pivoted to working with the vulnerable populations in downtown Calgary with the Mustard Seed and Street Sisters Society. A caring person, she is passionate about helping others and creating positive change in the world.
In her new, part-time Foundation role, Avery will work with Cathy to support and expand fundraising and communication projects, including becoming our resident expert in software systems.

Avery’s interests include travel and yoga, and as we learned on day one, she loves vanilla lattes and dogs. Even Tilly the Cancer Centre Therapy dog approves!
